sorority study hours
by: PNM
Hi I am going through rush in the Fall.
Can someone tell me what houses don’t have required study hours? I have heard that Theta is one of the only houses that does not require their sisters to have study hours ever. And I have confirmed with one of my friends in Theta that they do not have any required study hours. I asked my Tri Delta friend and she told me they have 12 study hours a week until initiation. This makes me wonder what other houses required study hours are.

most houses have study hours! It’s just for your benefit and it gets you used to putting in time for studying. Most girls you talk to will tell you they don’t mind it at all! It’s true Theta doesn’t have them, i’m guessing because they have been first in grades for years. But i don’t think that a house having study hours should make you not consider them! The hours spread out throughout the week aren’t bad.

Honestly study hours aren’t as bad as they sound. I made a lot of friends and studied better. This is also a great time to meet & know your PC/house better. I know some houses only require them IF your gpa is low or on the verge of dropping. Don’t see them as a bad thing, but a way to improve yourself and your house :)
