enhs senior

by: Edmond North

I’m a girl by the way. I am currently a senior at Edmond North and I am still deciding between OSU or OU. I want to learn more about the Greek life at both schools. People from my high school always come to either OSU or OU. I’ve heard that there are houses from both schools that are biased towards giving bids to those whom come from Edmond North like some houses will guarantee a bid to them or some houses will completely drop them because of it. Which house here do most girls from North get a bid from?

Not every girl from any town will automatically fit into every house. ENHS girls are generally pretty academic with lots of AP credits from the ones I've known. I'd say look at one of the houses that usually makes great grades like Theta, Tri Delta, or G Phi

I don’t think any house cuts just because you go to a highschool. If your noticing that girls from your highschool tend to go one or two houses it’s probably because older girls went a certain house then pulled for them. I know Kappa and Theta tend to get a lot of edmond girls, and yes sometimes you will get cut from other houses if they feel you are going to go a specific house.

You copy/pasted this from the OSU thread. Can't you just ask your Edmond friends? Whichever houses they're in you'll be in. One of them will probably be your big too. That's how it works

That’s rude. Maybe she also did ask her Edmond friends. Don’t fault a high school senior for asking questions about a college that will affect her life. And her Edmond friends are probably more biased anyways so maybe that’s why she came on here. I hope she doesn’t end up in whatever house you are in.

This isn’t Texas where you have to be from an old money family to pledge Kappa or Theta.

There are several Edmond area girls in Kappa that do not come from big $$

Looks are deceiving.

can't name names on this site, but there's a kappa from my hometown who doesn't come from any money even though she pretends to and wears fake Hermes, Gucci and LV to try to impress

Okay so now we are proving that Kappas are fake asf! Their dues are way too high for them not to have money.

most 2 income families can handle Kappa dues.

Again- these girls do not come from the deep pockets you think.
It is smoke and mirrors.

The girl just asked about which house will take girls from her high school/hometown. Why do you guys have to now make this about money?

I went to North and I don’t know where you ended up deciding to go, but if you chose to go here, just know that Kappa with upcoming pledge classes are not gonna favor Edmond North girls (if they ever have) anymore it seems like because less and less girls from North get Kappa each year, BUT that still doesn’t mean you can’t get Kappa. If you were very school-oriented in an academic or spirit way, then Theta would be a good option for you. I don’t think a house will ever cut you because of which high school you’re coming from, but I don’t know of any houses that will be biased enough to give you a bid over it.
