I think it's worth it. There is some unnecessary drama that comes along with joining a sorority, but it is the best way to find your best friends and belong to a group. I promise that most girls don't actually spend their time thinking about which houses are better than others... this site tends to bring out the worst in people. There's some competition among the houses but when it comes down to it, what matters is the sisterhood that every house brings.

It’s worth it! There are just a few houses that seem to be a continuation of HS. Most are not that way. Steer clear of the drama filled houses if you want a positive experience. The overall reviews of houses on here are pretty accurate but go in and don’t get caught up in the moment...really look for the place that feels most like home. Not where you have to sell yourself or where you feel you will have to always prove you belong. Certain houses put on a really good recruitment but then kind of just ignore you once it’s over. Those are the houses to be careful of. There are a couple top tier houses that are great and several middle tier houses are rising fast bc of their genuineness. People are tired of be “popular HS girl mentality” and I have many friends who hate their house bc of it.

Depends on why you want to be in a house. If it is to find a sisterhood and if you go through recruitment determined to find your people, you'll be happy. The fighting on here is mostly it seems like anyway to be by alums who don't have anything else to do. So don't let greekrank make up your mind for you.

Kappa and Pi phi and Alpha Phi are most known for mean girls. I’ve never considered theta mean. And most people don’t. Maybe there’s been a recent issue but they’ve always been known as sweet

I agree that kappa is known among campus as being the mean girl house...along with alpha phi. Kappa girls are generally known as rich and snobby, that house has a lot of HS drama going on.

Just because Kappa and Alpha Phi are KNOWN to be mean girls, doesn’t mean they are? Kappa already has the rep of being rich and snobby so of course people are going to think they are mean right off the bat and Alpha Phi is known to have very pretty girls and being a girl myself, I’m sure that other girls will see them and feel intimidated. But you need to give Kappa and Alpha Phi girls chances and you will realize that aside from the looks and the “money”, they’re great girls unlike Theta whom get way more chances than they deserve

I saw your comment on one of the other posts. But to answer your question... THETA… they have a lot of mean girls but keep in mind that not all of them are mean but the majority of mean girls can be found in theta.
