alpha phi article
by: PNM
OK, so I went to read the article and had to change the url to find it. This one is more accurate: oudaily.com/news/2011/aug/22/column-my-sorority-ex perience/ The A Phi that wrote it said they told her what kind of underwear to wear (!!!!!) and that certain girls had to wear spanx! The worst was this:
"Worst of all, no black women returned. I was told we were too new on campus to taint our image. I will say no more on the subject, because that says it all." OMG!!!!!!
#41by: Well...
Here's what you've done. Alpha Phi will feel tremendous pressure to pledge an African American girl. And all of the lovely, intelligent African American girls can now feel like a token member of Alpha Phi because of your constantly bringing it up. I feel confident the girls know they have an issue and will deal with it. But now, they are d@mned if they do and d@mned if they don't.
#42by: wonder who??
Hater/Stalker girl: Are you just trying to repost and agree with an earlier comment to bury the rankings that most people (who don't spend 24 hours a day on here like you do) agree to? You know it doesn't matter, don't you? You know that your house doesn't rank this high regardless of how many times you post that it does. Most PNMs already know about your house because of the rumors, scandals, and date party misadventures that are widely reported back to the high schools of the parties involved. Sorry. This just is not a good way to recruit for your house.

Or they could say they're sorry for that comment and for making any girl feel like the color of her skin defines her desirability. Perhaps they should have a workshop on racism. I truly think A Phi would have a problem ever getting an African American girl to pledge because they would know they're not wanted. Your comment that I've "done" something to A Phi is ludicrous. I didn't write the article. I'm only one of many who has commented on the article. I didn't create the problem. Alpha Phi did. I didn't originally bring it up. One of the journalist members did. I didn't write the orignial comment. Someone else did. All I did was make the occasional comment. Just like you did.
