rush for out of state

No, I know several girls in my pledge class that are from states other than OK or TX! Sure it makes it harder to have connections and girls pulling for you in houses, but if you have a good resume and a good rush it won't be impossible at all. There are probably less out of state girls in the "top" houses than others but it's definitely more common than you'd think. i'm in a top house and we have probably around 5 girls from other states in my PC.

I am from out state and my rush experience was fine. I connected with a lot of girls, but NO ONE is from my city or let alone my state so no one in the house can really pull for you and that is a huge thing at OU. Connections are everything and sometimes the only way you can get into a house and that's the tea! I ended up with a great house and I think all the houses at OU are upstanding and are a fit for everyone, but let me tell you will end in the house that is for you!

My best advice is to make your social media stand out. The chapter gets a list of allep girls rushing and their towns/ high schools and i’m not sure if every house goes through all of them but some do and will look you up! Also may be a good idea to follow the sororities instagrams closer to rush time so they can your interest. Also girls may be from surrounding towns but know someone to ask about you, so your still matters! So no your not in trouble if your out of state most houses have a handful of girls not from oklahoma. But yes top houses generally get a lot of in state girls just because they have more in state girls that go through rush
