advice for pnm

by:

I'm very nervous for rush because even though I was really involved in high school, I just have average grades and looks and I only know a couple of people in each sorority. I'm worried that no one will give me a bid. I feel like each sorority already has a certain type of girl picked out before anyone even rushes so is there anything I can do to make sure I get a bid from someone?

I'm thinking you must be independent. You're surely not a Gamma Phi -- they're classy, intelligent, and sweet. You're definitely a weirdo, though. In fact you're the weirdest person I've ever seen on greekrank. You are obsessed with bullying a house of college girls. Weird and scary.

I am sure the above comments did nothing to help the PNM who posted the topic. Just be yourself, keep a positive attitude, smile, present yourself well with hair, makeup, and cute clothes, and let them see your inner beauty and warmth shining through. Keep an open mind and don't get your heart set on certain houses and surely you will end up with a group of wonderful sisters. The grades are the major concern. If by average you mean less than 3.0, then it will be almost impossible to get a bid. If you mean 3.2-3.5, then you have a chance. Oh, and get recs for every chapter! Best wishes!
