question

by:

I'm going to live in Walker and am wondering how far all the houses are from Walker. Like if I pledge Pi Phi or Tri Delta is it so far that I won't ever go there? What is the closest house to Walker? Is Walker one of the best places to live? I guess it's too late now if it isn't because I've already sent in my money for it.

Freshman dorms are all about the same- everyone walks everywhere- wouldn't choose a sorority by the location of the house- or it's sleeping arrangements .

True. Wait until recruitment week and see which girls you really click with. Look at the ones from your hometown and see which houses they're in. If you liked the girls -- you may like that house too. If you are interested in involvement, look at the awards the house won. All in all, don't make your mind up beforehand. Especially looking at physical location and (stupidest of all) sleeping porches. I loved the camaraderie of our sleeping porch!

The OU campus is very easy to get around and you'll find that students walk everywhere. Getting to any of the houses won't be a problem and shouldn't factor in your recruitment choices. Walker is a great place to live. I lived on 11 when I was a freshman.
