spring rush tips
by: eekHow does spring rush really work compared to fall rush? If I dropped out fall rush how will that effect me in the spring?

The individual houses drive the process; there is no mutual selection with Spring Rush. Spring Rush & COB are essentially the same thing, and whether a chapter participates is driven by 1) how many spots under house total the chapter is and 2) whether or not their national org makes them. Pretty much every house will be under total at some point in the year due to girls in health science programs, early graduations, transfers to a different school, or just dropping the house.
If you are interested then register with the Panhel office. Get involved on campus and meet girls in sororities. Most of the open spots probably go to friends of current members, not random girls no one knows.

What she means is that even if a house is doing cob or spring recruitment, you may not be asked to visit that house. Many houses will descretely take two or three girls who are already friends with girls in the newest class. Or the best friend of a sophomore who wasn't able to go through recruitment, etc. You don't have any choice other than whether to go if you get an invite. Many girls sign up and never get a call at all. It's very limited.

Thanks for the information. What do you mean by no mutual selection? Not all houses have to agree on the bid?
