Yup a lot of girls do it even if they rushed in the fall. Some of the houses may not participate in spring rush though

Untrue. If you received a bid you are ineligible for any recruitment activities until formal recruitment next year.

if you did not accept a bid, you cannot join another NPC group for one year.

I think you mean if you did NOT accept a bid, you can.

Wrong. If you received a bid but did not accept it, you are ineligible for any recruitment activities until formal recruitment next year.

I dropped out of rush last year and went home crying on bid day jealous of everyone else. It is going to be okay, it may seem like the end of the world but i promise you it is not. greek life is not everything. in a few weeks everything will die down and nobody cares about what house you are in. after sophomore year most girls drop their sororities and people don’t pay attention to greek life at that point, it’s mainly the freshman and sophomores. if you still really want to join a house next year then rush again! don’t think you are alone because it happens to more people than you think

If you didn't sign a bid card you can COB. Fall, Spring, whenever... Why wait until spring? But only half of the groups are eligible to COB girls. And most don't do it openly. Some their nationals won't let them. Others the nationals require it. But your options aren't likely to have changed.

All the houses are great. You can't see that during the show. But if you gave it a chance it would probably have worked out for you. You could have enjoyed your bid day. I know girls in all groups that truly enjoy and are grateful for their sisterhood.

Spring Rush is just COB in Spring. There is only one Formal Rush and that is in the fall. They call it Spring Rush. But it is still COB. Only chapters under total are allowed to participate (less than half). Which is why your options won't change much from what they are in the fall.

COB and Spring Rush are the same thing.

And you’re ineligible for it because you declined a bid, therefore forfeiting your chance to become Greek until Fall 2019.

Sorry.

Can cob still happen after bid day?

Yes, COB happens after bid day. That’s why it’s called Continuos Open Bidding.

If you dropped out of rush or suicided and did not get a bid, you can let the Greek Life office know you’re interested in COB and they will pass your info along to the chapters who are eligible. They may or may not contact you though.

If you sign a Pref card AND receive a bid (whether you accept or decline it), you are ineligible for any rush activities until next fall. That’s a NPC rule.
