“Pi Phi didn’t make quota & had to snap bid. Theta had low return rates. Tri Delt & Chi O did well as they have the past few years but with strong seniors leaving what will happen next year? . Kappa did well but has major issues in house with in house vs PNM drama. Alpha Phi did well with the usual pretty girls but they have lower grade requirebts than top tier houses so they get girls who weren’t the best ior brightest & who really like to party. “
This sounds like rumors & jealousy. How can anyone know any of this for sure? Not possible.

Honestly there were a lot of great girls who came through rush this year. So they were pretty spread out amongst the houses. The super cute and big name girls went somewhere in the top 5 or alpha phi. But the best pledge classes are a matter of opinion, and I think its little early to tell what houses have really good PC's unless your going off of looks and status or something. Of course theta and kappa got the most Tulsa and edmond girls (who tend to be really cute and popular) but tri delt, chi o, and pi phi got great girls too that could really benefit their houses.

Girls that came from anywhere other then Texas were unfairly overlooked. Hearing now how the Texas schools handle rush with advisors, people making sure they have recs for all the houses, meetings in school regarding what they need to do to get in the top houses, is disheartening. If that type of Rushing is allowed, then girls coming for out of state should be aware of it. Because frankly, those are the girls that need the extra emotional support and not start their College feeling rejected because they didn't know how to play the "game"! Incidentally, I was in a sorority and my daughter did get a house. But some of her friends did not. Sad!

Unfortunately, it's a very big game and only getting bigger. I rushed in 2015 and it was nothing compared to 2018. OU Greek is trying to Out-SEC the SEC sororities.

It’s not unfair, it’s called rush! Anyone can google all the information you listed above. Just register with your local Panhellenic and they could give you instructions, help you find recs, tell you where meetings are in your area, etc. It’s up to your daughter and you to figure it out.
You can’t out-SEC the SEC. My best friend goes to an SEC school and they have double the number of girls rushing and almost double the length of time more than OU and pledge classes in the 140’s. .

And, it’s easier now with everything being online and most houses only asking for one letter. The meetings aren’t about “how to get in a top sorority” but to help moms and daughters understand the recruitment process. How to sign up with Pan, deadlines, how to actually find and submit letters to rec writers, etc. Every mom and daughter in a meeting at a school or in a church space is going to 100’s of different schools from NY, to NC, to OU, to UT, to LSU, to USC. The process is similar but different everywhere. It’s up to each PNM to do her homework and prepare for her school!
Also, did these friends get cut or drop because they didn’t like or were too good for the houses they had left? The whining .... really!
