rush 2018

rush was pretty rough last year as well. There were over 200 girls that dropped out of rush last year due to being cut from houses they wanted etc. The point is, houses can only take so many girls and you have to consider girls that are legacies, know a lot of people in the house and the wealthy are who they are taking first. So that could automatically be 40-60 girls they already have to take. Only leaving the houses with a choice of 20-40 girls that they want based off of conversations and such. Last year’s rush was extremely hard and emotional for most girls i know, and it seems that it’s not getting better for the future recruitments either.

So today each house had around 240 people right? How many will be cut tonight?

It's always this way because there are always about the same number of girls who are so insecure that they let other people's opinions about houses kind of determine which ones they like best. They are also so self-unaware that they they think that they "fit" only in a house that they've heard is better than the rest. If that's you, you'll think recruitment is brutal.

Recruitment at OU gets harder every year, as OU is beginning to accept more freshman and more girls are trying to rush. It's a competitive process, unfortunately, and it will keep growing that way
