What is the purpose of Greek Link if the rush chairman from each house are not contacting recruits? We have not received one email from any fraternity this summer!

Are the recruitment chairs going over the guys information? How are they going to get to know recruits when they see all the houses in one day? What are the frats looking for in the guys?

They hold a couple of events for a week. Just show up and be yourself. However, many frats already know who they want

Fraternity rush is very informal overall, so if you're expecting something like sorority rush youre setting yourself up for something very different. From experience the rush chairs never email anyone except for very big money events, and those rarely happen. If you live out of the main areas (OKC, Dallas, Tulsa) dont be surprised if youre not contacted that much or at all.

If I am interested in a couple of fraternities is it weird if I contact their rush chair before rush to present myself and let them know that I am interested in joining them or will it help my chances?

I think you can contact the Rush chairmen but it may be a little to late! I do not understand how they will be able to talk to PNM and decide who they like within 30 minutes.

Many events will be held rush week which will give PNM’s the opportunity to meet Rush chairs face to face. Contacting them directly can come off as desperate and too forward. Be patient.

Pro tip: Be outgoing, not gregarious and keep the croakies and dip at home.

Good luck!
