by: rushTo all the ladies getting prepared to go through rush next week, I want you to know it is not the end of the world if you get cut by the house you want. I was promised a bid to a house last year and got cut by them first round. It was heart breaking and i had never felt more like an outcast in my whole life. I dropped rush the next day and really regret it. I still had 4 great houses on my list and wish I would’ve stuck it out. You will find your home and if a house cuts you, then that is their own loss. Please go in with an open mind and don’t let next week define who you are!! best of luck

Also, know that what you've heard about various houses isn't necessarily the truth or even relevant to you. Especially on this site a lot of people will post great stuff about their own house to get you interested. If it's stuff like that they're in the top 3 or that they're hard to get or that they've always been the best, you can pretty much know they're not. If they they post that they won grades or president's trophy or homecoming or scandals, they probably did. If you're not interested in singing or dancing, you might not be as interested in a house that did well in scandals and you might be more pulled to a house that does well with grades. Or whatever -- you get the idea. Actually pay attention at the houses and see who you click with. That's the most important thing.
