rush
by: 2018my brother told me that it’s a given fact that houses already know who they want before rush starts. is that true? i don’t come from a family of greek affiliates or know that many people in houses at ou. i’m really scared that i’m going to get cut from a mojoirity of the houses just because i don’t know anyone. i’m going in with an open mind but also have some houses that i would love to have bids from and am not sure how to get them to want me. please help a girl out!!!

Just go through with an open mind. All the houses are good at OU. I did not know anyone when I went into rush and I ended up getting the house that fit me the best. Remember when you get cut from houses it is not because they did not like you. The five houses that have to cut the most are Kappa, Theta, Tri Delt, Chi-0 and Pi Phi. During rush they have to cut so many girls because most girls want thiose houses. Alll the houses are good and you will find where you fit in.

If you want Chi O, you can get that pretty easily. They are even advertising for new members on greek rank because of the bad recruitment they've had the past several years. You'll see several of their advertisements like the one above. It's true about Tri Delta, Theta, and Kappa. Less true about Pi Phi, and not true at all about Chi O.
