rec letters
by: boomerDo rec letters really improve your chances of getting into a house? So many girls I know say they have 2 for each house so they have better chances. I’m just wondering if it makes that much of a difference

Rec letters are SO important. At my house, almost everyone I know had a rec letter. There were maybe 2 in each PC that didn't. They will only find you a rec letter if it is their policy that girls must have a rec to pledge and you're one of those few girls that just has excellent conversations and is the whole package.

In many houses, it improves your “score” (which is based on grades, activities, etc.). Some nationals require one for membership. Two for each house is overkill (as the “score” for two is likely averaged in most cases), but try to find someone to write you one for each house. Poll your friends—their moms or your teachers may have been in a house and you just never knew.
