rush/rec packets

go simple! a resume and one rec for each house is more than fine. when you register for formal recruitment you will send in your resume of activites. maybe give one and a couple pictures of yourself to whoever writes your rec and then they can turn that in to each house. you don’t bring any of that stuff with you through recruitment as the chapters cannot accept them.

Basic is fine. The information packet goes to the rec/rif writer, NOT the sorority chapter. Most of the houses are closed just after finals, so if you send something to the house it may not be picked up for weeks.

You need a resume of activities, honors, & awards as well as a transcript or something to validate class rank/GPA. Black out social security numbers if they are on your transcript. Include jobs and a brief explanation of the group you volunteered with if it's not a well known one. If you had leadership positions make sure you list those. If your rec writer doesn't know you personally (i.e distant friend of family) write a brief descriptive paragraph about yourself, your interests, etc.

Have someone proofread this. Include a head shot & 3/4 or full length picture - senior pics are fine. The groups just want a picture to help them remember who you are after talking to 700 girls that day. Lots of groups have the rec writers submit online and then those are sent to the chapter recruitment leadership team. If you know the rec writer is going to mail it include a stamped 8.5 x 11 envelop

Yes definitely use senior pictures!! Other pictures work too, like I used some of me cheering
