zeta kicked off campus

I heard that half of their members quit.

I'm curious to know. My aunt was a Zeta and she just said it was closed by their nationals. There has to be more to the story! I remember thinking she and her friends were so pretty! (not that looks mean everything -- I'm just setting the scene of my 8-year-old self -- ha!)

I heard that there was a bad group of girls in the house that pretty much ran things. They weren't sisterly -- a neighbor even had her stuff stolen by those sisters. Finally nationals stepped in. At least that's what I've heard.

I was there when they were shut down. They had a lot of issues. They were considered one of the houses that no one wanted to join. The girls in the house had bad reputations, and not totally undeserved... They couldn't fill their pledge classes, even with snap bids or COB, and a lot of the girls who did get bids dropped before being initiated or just flat out declined the bid. It finally reached a point where they didn't have high enough numbers to sustain the chapter.

Definitely not true! I was a zeta and lived in the house a year before the chapter left.

I was on campus when they were closed down. They used to be really strong on campus from what I've been told, but about 4 years or so before it happened, they got a pledge class that made some questionable decisions and I believe some girls got in trouble with their national organization (I am not sure exactly what happened, it was before I was there). I know that after that happened, they worked really hard to restore things, and they actually had some really great girls in the house right at the end, but they just couldn't completely recover as quickly as the national organization wanted them to. Ultimately, financial reasons are what ended it. The nationals ended up revoking the chapter because the house was expensive to upkeep and it was full. They ended up selling the house to a fraternity.

Correction: the house wasn't full.

When I was there (mid 90s), they were absolutely a party house. They took pretty girls with bad reputations. Lots of mean girl activity from what I heard. Not sure when they left campus. They were in the house that is now the Pike house (I think). It was the dark brown house just across from the axo house.

I was told that the content that they posted on social media was so risqué that they were legally classified as a brothel lol

When I was there, Zetas reputation was similar to APhi now.
