why is chi o rated so low?
by: freshman curiousI was just scrolling through the post-recruitment forums and I've seen a lot of hate on XO but didn't really understand why. I've had a few friends (a theta, a DG, and a non-Greek) tell me that XO is a top tier house at OU. I loved their rush and was so disappointed when I didn't get an invite back. I'm even more surprised that they get all this negative energy on this site! Is there a particular house rivalry going on, or just a rough year? I thought all the girls were absolutely gorgeous and so sweet when I was rushing, and I've heard good things. Ended up somewhere else but I wouldn't hesitate to be friends with any of the girls there.. Is there something I'm just completely missing?

ChiO is definitely a top house, or at least right below the top. Unfortunately they have a reputation of being mean girls. I can even give you some specific examples of experiences I had with ChiO's. I had 2 in my English class freshman year and they constantly made fun of a kid with a speech impediment. When a kid broke the window of his dorm and threatened jumping out, there was a group of ChiO's standing around taking videos, and I had a friend who was part of a mostly ChiO group chat that said they sent the videos around saying the kid was crazy and making fun of him. I saw a girl in a ChiO shirt openly talking about AGD's, calling them "alpha grab a donut." I could say more but hopefullly you get the point

But going off of what I said, I have also met some very sweet and involved ChiO's. which is more than I can say for APhi that's for sure.

They were some of the prettiest girls when I went thru this year. They were in the top 5 houses that all the girls wanted. But, Kappa, Pi Phi, ddd, and Theta were more popular with everyone. This is the truth and just the talk during rush this year. Also, they had the prettiest house.
