cob
by: PNMI dropped during formal recruitment so I signed up for COB, does anyone know when they send out whether you make the cut or not for the houses?

you say that the two houses you had left are two you "didn't fit in" but we all know that means that you felt uncomfy being in a lower tier house. news flash, only lower tier houses do COB. maybe you should be less judgemental next time and you would actually be in a sorority, because ou really doesn't have any bottom sororities, and you were probably blinded with judgement from things you heard other pnms saying during recruitment. if you didn't get a snap bid by now you probably aren't getting one at all.

Only 5 or 6 will be under total, less will bother with COB
There will only be a couple of spots
Some groups have a "once cut" rule, so that won't be an option
Members have friends in all groups, your judgement of those 2 groups you had left will not make you look good.
Best advice is to study those 2 groups you had left that actually liked you enough to not cut you. . Check out how much fun they are having. Hope they are doing COB. And then make up an excuse for dropping, like you were sick or the stress was too much. You aren't guaranteed a bid from them now. So cross your fingers.
Being Greek at all on this campus is a privilege. And not being Greek sucks.

COB is an informal, private process. It's very possible for you to sign up with Greek Life office and never hear anything from any chapter. Chapters who have more than a handful of openings will have a few invitation-only events where the COB pnms can get to know the actives. Chapters who have only 1-2 openings may directly give bids to women who are very close friends with actives - i.e., a roommate who always hangs out with that pledge class.
The blunt truth is that you just gave up your best chance of joining a sorority. Chances are the houses you had left will be doing COB and the ones that cut you won't magically be interested in you next week.

If you dont hear back before next week you wont. I suggest waiting for spring rush if you still want to go greek by then. A few houses will be doing it since some fall girls drop. AOII and AGD always do spring. Aphi usually does too depending on how many people drop. Gphi sometimes will accept a few girls in spring too. Good luck!! And until then get involved in other groups on campus!

Most of the houses will be under total by spring. The top houses because girls graduate early. The bottom houses because they didn't get enough girls during recruitment. But not all those houses will spring recruit. About half the panhellenic houses are prohibited from doing anything but fall recruitment by their nationals. Some are given the option and will only spring recruit if they need more than a couple of girls. Other houses are required by their nationals to recruit anytime they are allowed to. Those are generally the ones you see referred to as recruiting in the spring. So there's not a lot of coice. Good luck!

The houses I had left were two I didn't fit in, I didn't really need the attitude I just wanted information on when the houses doing COB would announce whether they wanted you or not.
