how selective are sororities?

by: Quota

I heard so many more girls rush than there are spots. And there are more girls every year. I know sororities can sometimes make room, but it seems as if so many girls who go through rush and don't get a house. Or only have one option. Does anyone know the exact statistic of girls who get a house in the end of rush?

FAKE NEWS!!! The number of "spots" is not determined in advance. Every girl that goes to even one pref party gets a bid if she maximizes her choices. Stop with the misinformation.

I don't think she was trying to start fake news. I think she is a PNM who is worried

None to very few girls get cut from all sororities. When they do it's usually because of bad grades or a truly terrible reputation from high school. What is more common is that girls drop out because they think they're too good for the houses that want them. They think they deserve to be in some house that doesn't want them so they drop out. If you realize that each house can only take the same number of girls (quota) and realize that each house can't take all the girls who think they're perfect for that house, you'll do fine. As a Rho G I had a couple of girls who quit. Both admitted that they made a huge mistake. Being in any house is wayyyyyyy more fun than being outside of greek life. Trust me on that :)
