rankings
by: GreekI've put off checking this site for quite awhile, and now I remember why. The amount of hate that's spread on here is sickening, and honestly I don't see how any of you can be satisfied with ranking other houses to make yourselves feel better. Each house has extraordinary girls, and anyone who takes the rankings on this site seriously, need to realize that they're in college and not high school. According to this site I'm in a "bottom" house, even though I've never seen it that way. This site makes you believe that the girls in "bottom" houses are only leftovers that the "top" houses didn't want. That's incredibly damaging, and that wasn't the case for me at all. I joined my sorority because I found girls that I felt comfortable to be around, and I still genuinely enjoy every second that I'm with them. I didn't realize that was such a bad thing. To the PNM's that are rushing next fall, don't get too caught up in the rankings and reputations on this site. Choose the house that you feel the most at home in, because those are the girls you'll spend the next four years, or more, with.

I joined the very bottom house at OU because I was a legacy to that house and found so many wonderful girls. I seriously don't know why gr says they're so low because I think they're great. For pref I had one of the top houses and I put it 2nd. My Rho G thought I was crazy, but I went to bed that night hoping I'd get my first choice and I did. So yes. Choose the house where you feel at home.

Stop being mean. The ranks are the ranks and it only has to do with what actually happens during recruitment. PNMs make choices and that's what is reported on here by honest people. The dishonest and mean comments are from the alums who are fighting tooth and nail to reform their own college experences and make their house look better in retrospect. That needs to stop.

Exactly. It's mean and there isn't any reason for it. It doesn't make anyone choose differently.
