tiers

by: PNM

On this site there are always like 500 threads about what tier who is and it comes up in other threads. Does it actually matter what tier my house is? If I fall in love with a "bottom tier" house/sorority or something, but a "middle" or "top" also wants me and I like them but less, should I go with the higher tier house?

What effect do tiers really have on Greek life???

No. If it doesn't matter to YOU it doesn't matter at all. One of my good friend's mom was and AGD and she pledged that house too even though she had a top house as her other house for pref.

If social life matters then yes the tiers are important. Which house within each tier doesn't matter as much. Top frats prefer top sororities to socialize with and date. I know it sounds a little superficial but hey you're joining greeklife. If you don't care about what others think and really you shouldn't just find a house where you feel comfortable. Each house in every tier does have an over all stereotype but the house memberships are so large there is truly every type of girl in every house. It's much better to go Greek at OU than be independent.

Actually girls and guys from all the houses mix. If you're talking about being partners on something then it can matter. Beta isn't going to ask AOP to do USing unless everyone else is taken but that's just one thing. A Beta might daate a AOP if he likes her and that won't matter any.
