Does your fall 2016 GPA affect recruitment in Fall 2017? Or is spring GPA more important? Does your High school GPA matter at all either?

So if my GPA in the fall was a 2.0 and my GPA in the spring was 4.0
Would I be okay for recruitment? My high school GPA was 3.75 and I had a lot of personal stuff going on fall semester

The overall gpa is 3.0? That might still be a little low.
