spring sorority recruitment

It depends on several things. Panhellenic allows any house under total to participate. Some Internationals require participation if allowed. Others prohibit any recruitment except formal recruitment. Sometimes Pan raises total and all houses are eligible, but not all participate because of their regulations. The houses to avoid are the ones that are participating because they have a lot of girls they gave bids to in August have dropped out. The ones that you don't need to avoid are the ones participating because they had a lot of early graduates and a lot of girls going to OUHSC for professional school. That's a great reason to be under total. Beware of some girl (Chi O?) who says that no decent house does spring recruitment. They can and do. Just don't expect it to be like fall recruitment. It will be very low key and you may not even know it's happened. Most houses will take a few girls that are already friends with girls in the house.

Absolutely honest and true. It makes me upset to see all the hatred on this site over things that if you're in a house you know don't matter. Spring recruitment is one of those things. At most, houses take 3 to 5 girls that are already friends with girls in their houses. They don't recruit like in August. So it's pretty much meaningless. Some houses do it and some don't. All our houses at least made quota this year so no one is down because of poor recruiting.
