I go to OU and that is definitely untrue. UT Austin is superior to OU in almost every area. They are considered one of the top public schools in the nation and extremely competitive to get into, even for in-state applicants. Many UT programs are top in the nation, like their business and engineering schools are actually ranked top 10 in the nation. Not even academically speaking, but location wise (Austin), facilities, college town, opportunities, night life, campus, etc. are all in favor of UT. I'd say the only thing OU has over UT is our athletic programs and success (as of now), and maybe OU's greek life. Other than that, UT definitely takes it.

UT is older. Texas is a bigger state than Oklahoma and has spent more money on UT than OU has ever gotten out of The Oklahoma legislature. UT had much better grad programs and one of the top 15 law schools in the country.
UT undergraduate admissions is much much. More selective than OU that's why so many students from Dallas who aren't at the top of their class come to OU.
OU is a fine school but UT competes with Michigan, UCLA , and North Carolina to be one of the best public universities in the nation.

19 million still owed to Mac Brown, Charlie Strong, and strong's fired assist coaches. Great way to spend the universities money. The money doesn't go to education and throwing money at the football team is not helping either. UTs stadium is named after an All American Sooner he wanted the head coaching job at OU but because OU as usual had a legendary coach Darryll Royal finally went to UT. UT named their stadium after a SOONER. I think that clearly illustrates which university is better.

UT should learn throwing money at a failing program won't get them a conference championship, a CFP spot, or a heisman invitation only hard work can do that not misguided entitlement.
