what grades do you need?

Would a girl from California with a 3.0 and lots of letters of rec, but no connections (bc from California) be accepted into a sorority?

So this was my exact situation! I'm a junior, and I moved out to ok from LA for my freshman year and decided to rush. I had a lot of letters of rec and a 3.2, and I pretty much immediately got cut from all the "top houses." I'm currently in a "middle tier house" and incredibly happy where I ended up. You'll find your fit

You'll have to go through recruitment. Middle houses can make grade exceptions. You'd have to see if they'd make an exception for you.

I'm feeling sorry for you, Wondering. The weather is nice there but there's really only one season. The people are brusque and don't care about others as much, which is the opposite of Oklahoma. I visited there once and fell completely in love with your state! I'm happy to be moving there and I feel sorry for you that you don't appreciate what a great place you live.

I think you could say the exact same to you. I've visited Cali more than once and absolutely love it and the people were sweet as can be. Also I wouldn't really say we have 4 seasons so I'm not sure how happy you're really going to be. Grass is always greener, but not really

I've always assumed that people that came from Cali were Nat'l Merit Scholars who did so for the free tuition. The weather in OK is terrible: broiling hot summers, bitterly cold in the winter. No ocean. No mountains. No scenery. No culture. It's boring. Free tuition-I understand. But other than that-no I don't get it at all.

Seriously, I don't understand the out-of-staters esp. Texans. They pay a 10K a year (+) premium to cross the Red River so that their kids can attend what's basically a party school and join probably the most toxic, cyber-bullying greek system in the nation.

I'm seriously feeling sorry for you. You have no idea how much nicer people are here than they were in LA. You are looking at such superficial, touristy things about California that I can't even believe. Did you know that I had between 45 and 50 in every class in high school? My friends can't believe it. That's not to mention the crime problem and how even in my very nice neighborhood there were problems. You all are just looking at stuff that no one has time to do like the ocean. Do you think we go everyday between classes? You're just being dumb. I love Oklahoma and after living in LA for all my life I feel qualified to say why Oklahoma is better.

What you're looking for is likely a different (smaller) town not a whole different state. Not saying you won't be happy but you can't knock all of California for that

Also, PS, with that "I'm seriously feeling sorry" attitude I highly doubt any "nice" ok people are going to appreciate your condescending attitude. I think THAT might be more appreciated in a "brusque" city like LA

If people in Oklahoma are so nice why do they say such hateful things about each other on this website?

By: Oh really?
