truth about recruitment

There has been so much written on Greek Rank that is a completely obvious attempt to raise the ratings of one or two houses and drag down a couple of others. I was a Rho G this year so I have a pretty good idea of which houses pnms ranked highest. I also know which houses cross recruited. Of course there were exceptions but this is pretty much the list. The top five were all about the same amount of popularity but pulled from different groups.
Top:
Theta/Tri Delta/Gamma Phi ----> cross recruited
Kappa/Pi Phi ----> cross recruited
Middle:
Chi O/DG/some AXO ----> cross recruited
AXO/AP/some Chi O ----> cross recruited
Lower:
AGD/AOII ----> cross recruited
Although any rank requires some houses to be at the top and some at the bottom, I'm just going to say that our bottom houses, especially AGD, did great this year.
Congratulation to all the girls in the PC 16 classes. I think this was one of the strongest groups to come through since I've been here.

I'm feeling really sorry for her dealing with her hatred of Gamma Phi. She seems out of touch with reality.

The girl posting at #11 is a freak and if you go to OU you already know she knows noting. I don't know why she's even doing this but it's creepy and weird.

Or more likely that same girl that spent all spring writing the same comments about Tri Delta. She seems to be unhappy with her own house so she tries to tear down others but just comes across as looking ridiculous.

GPhi, look around at your sisters at your next chapter meeting and come to grips with the fact that no one in the room is the elite of your school. Quit dreaming it's incredibly embarrassing - if you were top you wouldn't have to keep defending yourselves, no one believes that but you, it's desperation and it's really sad

Regardless of how things were 50 years ago, this information is accurate for now. I like that it's arranged in which houses compete with each other for girls instead of saying that this house is best and this one is 2nd best. After knowing who we wanted and where the ones that we didn't get went, I can testify that this is accurate for the houses in our level.

Saying gamma phi cross recruits with theta and tri delt isn't saying that gamma phi is a "top house" all it's saying is that they pull from similar girls (the scholarly, religious girls), I see chi o being part of the top tier even though they compete a lot with DG and aphi and axo.

I'm not a Gamma Phi or a Chi O but I do know that no girl chooses Chi O if she has choices between Kappa, Theta, Pi Phi, Tri Delta, or yes, Gamma Phi. Yes, times have changed apparently and you and others don't seem to be okay with it. But at OU now Gamma Phi is considered top tier and Chi O is not. Chi O does compete with DG and AXO and not with the top tier sororities like Gamma Phi. Sorry if that hurts.

I would rank the houses that cross recruit together too. The top houses want girls who are smart, have good reps, are involved, connected, talented, and put together. So houses that all recruit from that pool of girls are in one tier. The tier below will recruit from girls who have some but not all of those attributes. They're more diverse because some recruit mostly for looks, others for talent, etc. I don't really think we have a bottom tier anymore because even AGD has stepped it up so much this year. I'd put the houses as Kappa, Tri delta, Theta, Gamma Phi, and Pi Phi in the top group and that would leave Chi-O, Aphi, Alpha Chi, DG, AOPi, and AGD in the other group.

I'm in one of your so-called bottom tier houses and I pref'd it over your "upper middle houses" as did many of my pledge sisters. Not that I even care about rankings -- I'm just happy to be in a group that is more concerned about sisterhood than what some anonymous online B's say to make themselves feel important.

Saying that Gamma Phi cross recruits with Theta is honestly hilarious. Regardless of the personality type Gamma Phi recruits, they do not have a chance with the girls that Theta, Tri Delt, Kappa or Pi Phi pull for. What a joke! Gamma Phi tries really hard but they are not a top competitor during rush. Girls do NOT cut Theta, Kappa, Pi Phi or Tri Delt for Gamma Phi, let's be realistic lol.

I am in a house that they are said to cross recruit with and I agree with this (although we win more often :) I'm sorry that you have some weird hatred for them, but on behalf of all greek houses, please get over it - we are all so bored with it!
