disadvantage?

Hey y'all. I'm coming from out of state and I'm rushing in the fall; many of the friends I've made through groups and whatnot have told me that they've been hanging with the fraternities that they're gonna rush with all summer.

I spent my summer out of the country/state of Oklahoma; will I face a huge disadvantage come rush? Meaning will I have a harder time getting a bid since I haven't already met the guys from the respective fraternities that I'm interested in rushing?

If y'all could give me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it.
