ranking of the sororities at ou

First, I am not the Panhellenic adviser at OU. (Just needed to say it because there is some wacko on here who objects to the mention of panhellenic LOL!!!) I'm just a member of a sorority and previous representative to panhellenic. I'm also very involved in CAC and am starting my 4th year here. In other words I know a lot of girls from all the houses.
This is how I would rank the houses based on how much pnms want that house, how they do in campus activities, academics, classiness, accomplishments, personality, and looks. By looks I DON'T mean physical beauty. I mean whether they're put together or sloppy.
Tri Delta and Theta --- Top houses but choose different kinds of girls with Theta going more for academics and Tri Delta more for involvement.
Gamma Phi, Pi Phi, and Kappa ----- Next tier. All good houses but very different. Gamma Phi goes for academics, show and athletic talent, and involvement. Pi Phi goes for involvement, academics, and personality. Kappa goes more for legacy, looks, and connections.
Chi O, DG, AXO ----- Third tier. About the same attractiveness to pnms but very different. Chi O is most into philanthropy, DG into sports, and AXO into social.
AOPi, AGD ------------ I ranked these together but they are possibly the most different of all. AOPi are more random, quirky, and artistic. AGD are into strong sisterhood. AOPis are better looking but that doesn't bother the AGDs. They are getting their new house this year and it should bring them up a lot.

DG is ahead of all those houses. XO is just trying to put them down but I don't know why.

Chi O, DG, and APhi are not alike. They're all filled with girls who didn't get into houses they liked so there's a lot of dissatisfaction. Chi Os do the best in fund raising events, DG does better in sports, and APhi doesn't do well in campus events. They say that looks is their specialty but there are a lot that aren't that good to look at so there's that.

I would completely disagree with your statement. Not everyone wants or even cares about being in a top house, despite what you think. Some girls wouldn't be happy in the top houses, because they are generally much more conservative, and filled with religious girls.

It's true that not everyone wants a top house but the dissatisfaction comes because Chi O would like to take the top girls but the top girls don't like them. So they end up with middle or bottom ranked pnms who sometimes wanted a better house. This leaves the Chi Os dissatisfied because they wanted better girls and the girls dissatisfied because they wanted a better house. The DGs, AXOs, and A Phis take what they can get and are happier about it than Chi O. That's why so many girls drop Chi O before initiation.

OK, I just read about the A Phi surprise LOL! I hadn't heard it called this but it's definitely a thing with A Phi at OU. They have a limited number of girls that you see during parties and then the rest come out later. Everybody knows about it but A Phi apparently though they were being so cagey.

True, girls from all houses are involved but the houses she recognizes for involvement are the ones with the huge majority of girls in PLC, CAC, student government, etc. But you're right, there are some girls from other houses involved too.
