top 5

For as long back as you can go and up to the current day, OU has always had a "Top 5" Sorority ranking. The Top 5 are and have always been:Kappa/Chi O/Theta/Tri Delt/Pi Phi
(These are ranking based on their location started in North Greek and working to South Greek part of Campus).
It is like a self fulfilling prophecy - the get the best girls b/c they are Top 5 and they stay Top 5 b/c they get the best girls. You can argue the rank from 1-5, but most of that is based on personal opinion. And while the order within the Top 5 can change from year to year, no sorority has been able to knock one of these down to the middle tier and take its place. Its a tradition that will be very hard for any house to overcome. That's just one outsider's unbiased opinion...

So true. Top 5 is top 5 and Chi O hasn't even been in the top 6 or 7 in lots of years. They're obviously in denial but that's not going to make them great again. They need to do a lot of work and so far they haven't seemed interested.

Why do the chiOs do this to themselves? They aren't relevant or even liked at OU. They are the one house that all the other houses can't stand. They are basically a bunch of psych drama girls that live on Greek rank.

Just a legitimate question - what is delusional about someone saying the Top 5 is the Top 5? It isn't even pointing out one house over the other. None of the top 5 houses listed were even ranked or favored. I'm curious how this is hilarious to you.

I don't know for sure, but one of the five she mentioned is not at all acknowledged to be a top5 house at all. Everyone I know finds the thought of Chi O as a top5 house hilarious. Since they're constantly on this site promoting their house, a lot of people (like me) find it annoying but which she seems to find hilarious. Get it?

Wow. Okay, now I get it. After spending some time on this site, I see that one (or a couple of people) really seem to have it out for Chi-Omega. I wasn't referring to them or any of the other houses listed as part of the Top 5 when I asked my question. I don't know how this became a thread about bashing 1 house. I'm not interested in that kind of discussion at all. Sorry. I'm out.

It's ok. For the record, I wasn't bashing them, just answering your question. I wasn't the person you responded to so maybe I should have stayed out of it. I agree that it's not all that panhellenic to get on here and bash a house and I try to stay away from that too. I just shake my head while I'm reading ha ha ha!

No One goes Chio when they are offered a bid from ANY other house. Chio has given out snap bids for 4 years in a row. They are the ONLY house that has had to snap in 4 years besides AGD which is still building.

I would not use this site because of all the desperate girls on it who have no faith in their houses recruiting ability. However if tiers are your thing this is a truthful posting. My best advice is get off this site. If you can't tell a top house from a lower house during recruitment then you are plain stupid.

She doesn't go here! The silly remark ignores the purpose of a top 5 which is that you can choose 5 houses for sisterhood round right before pref. That's also why you'll see a top 2, not a top 3 or top 6. So disregard her silly comment and focus on the five you hope to have for sisterhood day. If girls don't get cut from their favorites, MOST but not all end up with Theta, TriDelta, PiPhi, GPhi, and Kappa IN NO ORDER. All the houses are good but they're all different. You need to choose for yourself.
