a message to pnm's

by:

Everyone seems to think that PNM's choose the house they get, but the truth is, you can not go in with that expectation. Obviously there are a few girls that are highly sought after, and they get to choose. The fact is the majority of the girls going through formal recruitment are not going to get the house that they originally wanted. This doesn't mean don't try, but lower your expectations if you don't want to be devastated.

I also wanted to add that no matter what house you get, you will end up being happy in that house. I don't want this to seem like I'm making the experience negative, but it is really devastating when you don't get the house that you thought you would. But please please please go through with what ever house you get a bid from! Stay for a month minimum, and you will fall in love, I promise!

I want to be a tri-Delt. I got into PLC and my mom was a Tri-Delt. Will I get into Tri-Delt?

I agree. Ask questions when you're going through recruitment and decide what's the most important for you -- academics, community events, campus involvement, intramurals, sisterhood, etc. Each day choose your favorites from the ones you have left and don't mourn the ones that cut you or that you rated low. Just be in the moment and don't worry about the rank of the houses you get. All our houses are good!

I would agree with this too. There is a ranking because some houses are more selective but all the houses have some really outstanding girls. If you just trust your heart, you'll find your sisters.

I agree. All these self serving and martyrdom posting by several girls do not really portray what OU Greek is all about. Go in with an open mind and definitely roll with the punches. It is well worth it.
