how important are grades?
by: pnm2016
I want to do sorority rush this fall, however my gpa is slightly below a 3.0 (2.9). Would I be dropped asap or do I stand a chance? This is pretty important to me because I really want to be in a sorority but I also don't want to be hurt if I get dropped like first round, so I want to go in prepared. All info will help Thanks :)
Ps- I have no in house connections and I'm from the New England area...dk if that is useful

First, take down this message. You don't want this info to be out there because you will be remembered as the "pnm who shared too much on greekrank."
Second, you will be cut by MOST houses because of grades. Most cuts happen after the first round. There are houses who might be interested though, so go through and see if you like the choices you have. If not, work on your grades and rush when you have college grades to share.

Your suggestions are right on point. I'm glad you pointed out that most but not all houses will cut her because of grades. That was what she wanted to know so she wouldn't be disappointed when it happened. I'm also glad you asked her to take this down so she isn't recognizable.
