don't speak for everyone

by: Just me.

People need to quit posting that is what "everyone thinks", you don't know what everyone thinks. No one does. We all live in our own little bubble. If you have to feel you the need to have a consensus in order to feel recognize you are already in trouble. No matter how many times you " post" to be heard you are only one voice. Find contentment in who you are and move on.

For most people there really is a kind of consensus based on what they perceive from recruitment -- which houses they loved and got cut from, etc. People also are keenly aware of which houses do well in campus events and academics. So while people may disagree on exact placement, most people would probably pretty much agree on the general tiers.

I think what happens is that when they see a comment that has a house that doesn't do well in any area listed as a top tier house, people reply back saying that "everyone knows" that their ranking isn't correct. It's probably not much of an exaggeration, because the truth is that most people probably do agree and the wrong rank is for the purpose of misleading pnms.

What do you think?

You do not know the general consensus. You know what your group of friends might think. That's the truth.

return rates are given to the houses, your advisors may or may not share them with your house some houses are even required to have less parties to give lesser desired houses a bigger pool of girls for membership

This has nothing to do with anything. Even if you know your own rates you don't know every other house's. Also, return rates don't tell you much. Not all houses are inviting the same girls. So for example, Chi O might have a higher return rate than Pi Phi because Chi O is inviting girls who would rather go there than the lowest house at OU which they STILL have on their list. Girls invited to Pi Phi are also invited places like Theta...

Well if there are 1200 girls going through rush and after the first round of parties a house has 1199 that want to return then your Theory is invalid. The chapter then has to cut to let's say 900. After the second round of parties they have 899 that want to return, again your theory is not valid. The same girls want to return...period. If someone has a return rate in the top five and you keep saying they are middle or bottom Tier, again your theory is not valid. You need to just get over it. Someone with a 99% turn rate every night is not chasing different girls.

Ha ha ha! I agree with the person above you. Theta might have those numbers, but Chi O certainly doesn't! I've been a Rho G (and all the Rho Gs talk, believe me!) and I know which houses girls wanted and which ones they didn't. The Chi O scenario is that of the 1200 girls going through recruitment, only say 900 want them back after first cuts. Good, they can take 900. Is it the 900 that they wanted? No, they had to go pretty far down to take those 900. The next day they cut to 650 and they get 650 girls who want to return. Their parties are full, but they've been rejected by 300 girls the first day and 250 the second day. They're just not competing with the houses that get the top of their lists back.

And by the way, you don't know the return rates for any other house. You may think you do, and you may assume you can figure it out, but that just makes you ignorant and untruthful.

Instead of trying to convince PNMs on Greek Rank that Chi O is a great house, why don't you do some things that will improve your house's reputation. That's the problem and that's why so many girls reject Chi O each year.

girls who try to post as Panhellenic look desperate too because Panhellenic never posts on this site and it's clearly another attempt to mislead PNM's and only a low tier insecure house would do something like that which explains exactly why a girl like that didn't get in a top house

You obviously don't know what "panhellenic" means.

Also, you obviously don't know that anyone writing a post didn't get into a top house.

Yeah, "panhellenic" means all female greeks in the greek community. If you are referring to the office of the panhellenic adviser, that's a different thing all together. I don't believe she posts on here because I've never seen a post saying that she is the adviser and wants to clear things up. I think the girl posting that she knows the return rates is coming close to pretending to be the adviser. What a liar.
