The problem is that they use only their "best" girls for rush. That gives PNMs a totally different idea of what the house is like. Then when they get in, there are all these random snap bid/COB girls that are there too. So, a lot of girls drop because they realize that A Phi isn't the house that was advertised. I don't know who is saying on here that A Phi and G Phi compete, but that is ridiculous. Most of the girls that end up G Phi cut A Phi after the second day.

They had a whole lot of girls drop. One of my suitemates is an A Phi and she said they were really upset. Some had good reasons, though. The ones that upset them were the ones that just didn't like A Phi after they got in. There was one whole clique of girls that left after the first couple of weeks of getting to know everyone.

Please get your facts straight before commenting. Each house has girls that drop during the year, Alpha phi had no more than anyone else.

They had terrible grades, COB, lost lots of girls and yet they say they are top tier. They're not.

For A Phi return rates aren't important. The reason is that they sink after rush. Any house can look good during rush (and A Phi does). But after rush is over they bid a slew of girls that got cut from all houses. Then the girls they recruited start dropping out. They will never be a top house because they can't fill up their house and make their budget just getting quota so they will always have to bid a bunch of randoms. Failed A Phis go through rush again the next year trying to get a better house. That doesn't happen in top houses.

True. The girls they've recruited are ones who never learned how to behave at home and the alpha phis don't seem to do anything about it.

NO one goes through rush hoping to be an A Phi. If you want to be an A Phi, just show up at their door afterward and tell them you want to be a member. They're one of the only houses at OU that COB. Oh yea, if you drop out of rush, A Phi will give you a snap bid.
