What are your honest opinions of the sororities?

Kappa Delta and Tri Delt are considered the two top sororities. I would place KD slightly higher than tri delt though just because as a whole, KD is a lot more genuine. They're also really gorgeous and more present on campus.

KD STOP self ranking!!!! KD has NEVER been top! It's chi o and tri delt always has been. And if anything DDD is the very top so just stop its so pathetic

Omg hahahaha yes I totally agree. KD has always been and always will be a top tier. No one in their right mind could argue that. Nice try though "shut up"

I think the top sororities are tri delt and KD. Chi O has been known as atop sorority in the last but they're slipping way down hill. KD and try delt are very similar, a lot of "bombshell blondes". They're your typical southern belle sorority girl. Most of their families are extremely wealthy. KD has a lot of money donated to them from legacies. KD and trip delta are kinda like "the cream of the crop", it's hard to get a bid to either of them.

Completely disagree. Your statement makes you sound bitter and jealous.

Ddd is mostly beautiful girls with a few "legacies". They also have no more or no less money than girls in any other sorority.

Putting top houses down will backfire on you every time! It's like saying chi o is filled with dumb blondes. It's not true and it won't stick, no matter how hard you try to make other believe.

Lol. KD is struggling. For whatever reason XO and KD and DDD are the top and always will be. Kds try super super hard and go hard core for any competition. KD has great girls from everywhere but the hot spots. Chi O is really smart and has the history/prestige. DDD has girls with money. DG has classy girls, Kappa has fun girls and is a great house. All the houses are good.

Okay, so I look at it like this. Based on personality you will fit into any of the houses in these 2 rows, but probably not any in the either row. Tier doesn't matter, order doesn't matter. All tiers are is where your from and what alum you know. If you fit into one you most likely would fit into all of them. The distinction is girls who focus on friends, school, working hard, having a social life but being classy and a girl next door - and girls who focus on their social life, trend setters, have a competitive spirit, are effortlessly popular and cool, not as focused on grades or leadership (even though members may have amazing grades and be involved but it isn't how they define themselves).

Group 1: Chi O, DG, Phi Mu, AOPi, ADPi
Group 2: DDD, KD, Kappa, Pi Phi, Alpha Phi
Honestly Theta has so many of both type. A pro and con of their chapter.

Finally- this is so true! I prefed 2 chapters that were both in Group 2- meanwhile the 2 my roommate went to for pref were both in Group 1. Come to think of it- I haven't heard of anyone "cross- preffing" most of my friends either went to one or two within the same group.... or went to one in one group and theta....

I had to think about this one for a minute, but I do like Something Else's take on the tired version of "tiers" we see over and over. At least it's another way to look at things, kinda makes sense...

Crossed preffed those two groups. A lot of girls did AOII/Kappa. Probably because both give a laid back vibe (regardless if they are or not)

I preffed DDD and kappa and ended up in DDD but I can definitely relate to how the sororities in group 1 and group 2 are similar but wouldn't cross

I agree, except I disagree with phi mu. Like an oboe poster said, they could be in either grouping.

I am a junior this year and when we went through recruitment we preffed three houses. I preffed phi mu along with Ddd and xo. One house I knew I belonged in, one house I couldn't see myself in, but phi mu was completely in the middle.

I have to say that most of us preffed the two houses we had left in our cards, not the houses we were best suited for.

I preffed xo and Ddd. They were the two houses I had left. I would have equally loved a bid from other houses as well.
