and adpi! theta takes some grade risks too but not nearly as many as aphi will and adpi do

It depends on the house. Some houses will automatically cut you and in some if you know an active they can advocate for you.

no they don't care about your school difficulty, nationals gives them a gpa cut off - no exceptions

I agree that anything below 3.2 (3.0 really is the limit) is pushing it. That doesn't mean you shouldn't rush if your GPA is below that, it just means you need to be absolutely ~stellar~ in all other areas. And no one cares about your "hard" or "prestigious" hs.
