by: HYDRIs it impossible to get a bid from a good house if you aren't from Mississippi or the south in general? I'm familiar with and comfortable with the south as a whole (through family and siblings in college). My dad was a Sigma Nu if that helps, not at Ole Miss.

Make connections right when you get to school (esp with girls that have active sisters) and even try to ask around now and see if any of your family or friends know actives at ole miss that you could stay with for a spring party. you could put on your resume under a "family" section that your dad was a sigma nu at ____ university but honestly that doesn't really matter for you.
