rushing as a northerner

not looking for handouts or anything like that, but do fraternities here give bids to guys from up north?

It really depends on how you act and fit in. Some northern guys great brothers. Others are GDI and not my choice

I rushed this year as a northerner and got pre-bids from 3 fraternities, including one "top tier".... that said, you definitely have to put yourself out there and get to know actives pre rush more than a lot of southern guys who are friends with actives from high school
