hmmm

I'm curious as to why so many California kids and northern kids are interested in Ole Miss. I love Ole Miss and its a great shook but I'm confused why kids with no ties to the south would want to come to such a heavily southern school. Not being rude I am just genuinely curious

But my guess is that some want the SEC experience, some get financial aid offers that they can't refuse, and some want a specific academic program (my opinion is that ole miss doesn't get the academic credit that it should). Others might have ties to the south, but not ole miss specific. And some might want a complete change from what they are used to and what their friends are doing, and Ole Miss and the south certainly offers that.

I am a girl from California, (La to be exact) and everything you said is right. I have no ties to the south but I do want something completely different than what I am used to and the SEC experience you could say. I just got into the computer science program and a good amount of fininacial aid.

you weren't smart enough to get accepted into a California state school. That's the real reason almost all of you end up here.

Oh of course you did. Liar. No one from California would pick Ole Miss over UCLA. No one.

I thought the north was filled with rude, boring, unattractive people and going to Ole Miss was my escape from it. I've never been happier

Ole Miss is in a small town and one of the safest major colleges in the country. It's relatively cheap. It may seem like it's getting liberal, but it's not as liberal as most schools. Kids with an ACT of 32 and a 3.0 go tuition free. Most schools require a 3.5. So that's why.

And then y'all like to pretend you're so high class. I'm not sure what's worse... New money or no money?
