how the groups broke down this year:

girls who knew they were going to xo/ddd/kd didn't budge

dg did their thing, got a typical dg pledge class

kappa pre-rushed the hell out of a tonnn of girls so that they could have their pick, then made major cuts

phi mu, aoii, pi phi competed for the same girls in pref round

girls were slightly less devastated to get adpi than last year, but a lot still dropped out of rush if they only had them and theta left

alpha phi did a good job promoting themselves pre rush and actually cut girls during their little separate recruitment

kappa has been competing with the top houses for a few years now, phi mu isn't. Phi mu definitely has sweeter girls than kappa but they don't compete with them as much anymore.

No one was "devistated" they got ADPi so calm down. We got a really great pledge class this year and are building a good reputation. I'm sure we'll be on par with Pi Phi and above AOII in a few years if we continue to do well.

Kappa is a wanted house. The girls love being Kappas that's for sure. Last year they did compete with KD and DDD for girls. We will see if that continues.

Texas girls want kappa because kappa is so popular in Texas. Other than that, kappa can't compete with top tier.

I know a ton of Texas girls who regretted kappa after they joined because they are nothing like the kappas in Texas.

So basically, the only girls who chose kappa over a top tier house, eventually regret their decision.

I really highly doubt that, the girls I know from high school who got kappa cried about it and continue to say the girls are annoying and low class. Fallback sorority at its finest.

KKG - they were not in my top 2, but they were super popular and a top choice for a lot of girls. I have heard of no one regretting Kappa, but quite the opposite. Two girls in my dorm preffed KD and got Kappa, and couldn't be happier.

My daughter totally wanted tri delt, but was disappointed on bid day. It took her about 10 minutes to fall in love with kappa!

They really are not as bad as everyone is making them out to be! Who needs top tier anyway when the middle is so awesome.
