Is it hard to get a bid into a sorority if you have a 2.9 gpa and out of state

It depends on so many factors like which state you are coming from, who you know in the sororities, who writes your Recs, how you look and act.

Nobody in this website actually attends ole miss. You have come to the wrong site to ask for advice.

a girl with a 2.9 would get automatically screened out at most houses, and no one in their right mind would recommend a girl with such low grades unless she was really something special. as an oos she's lucky she even got admitted.

you're fine, don't worry. Just pay attention the first round, houses will tell you if your gpa is too low and if you should or shouldn't expect to be invited back.

Chances are, the actives you talk to during a round just learned your name 5 minutes ago and do not know your GPA. If you're bold enough to tell us, I would never look at you and say you won't be invited back. I want you to love my house, not leave thinking "they will cut me." How would I even know? I am 1 out of many actives voting on you. Plus there are alumni and many other factors besides GPA to consider.
