by: ‼️ HELP PLEASE‼️Do the more rec letters you have look good or do the sororities find it annoying?☺️

I had one letter of recommendation for the sorority that I am in, and a letter of support. Granted it was from an alumni, and it was a really good rec but you don't need six. Girls I know personally had like 7 letters for KD and Chi Omega and they got cut.
The reality is, if your letter is good, that is really all that matters. Alums hold more weight.

We tend to "throw out" the rec letters that are obvious "fillers". In other words, don't gather up a bunch of letters from alums you don't actually know who are only going to recite some resume information that you give them. We see right through those and they don't matter to us.

You really only need a maximum of two per sorority. My chapter tends to throw out the letters of Rec with little to no merit.... So like if you have a rec letter from a woman from an irrelevant school, honestly we don't really pay that much attention to it. If it's an alum rec it holds so much more weight. I can't stress how much more weight your rec has if it comes from an alum.

Maybe, but having more Rec letters won't hurt you. There are so many factors that go into rush and who gets bids. I would never advise girls to stop finding Rec and support letters after they find one or two. Keep looking. You just never know what sororities are looking for, but no sorority will ever say "oh look, she has too many letters".
