alpha phi priorities

Took at look at the Ole Miss Alpha Phi site and had a good laugh. The page with the most info was the sisterhood/social page. Gives details details about big sis/little sis, swaps, formals, etc. Date parties are "tons of fun" where you "dance to your favorite tunes!" Formals are the "most fun part of the year!" and show off the "classy and beautiful Alpha Phis!"

not trying to stand up for alpha phi or anything, but that site is a tool to attract pnms. most of them are concerned with social events and so they want to promote those to pnms. sometimes when a new sorority colonizes, people are hesitant to join because they feel like they won't get the social aspect of being in Greek life. i do think that alpha phi should prioritize academics on their site as well, but it may be hard for them to get a very academically-savvy pledge class this year, as many who are going out for alpha phi were cut from rush due to bad grades.

top house Cornell Alpha Phis (that are reputed to only take girls that look like models) would disagree, too. Same with the high GPA APhis at Texas....also great looking girls.

Why is it when a chapter tries to colonize you have the haters coming out if the woodwork to tear them down. Panhellenic voted and asked Alpha Phi to colonize at Ole Miss. Why do you have a problem with that. Are you saying the Panhellinic council is a bunch of idiots who did not know what they are doing.
They only thing that looks ratchet is the negative comments posted by a bunch of sad and pathetic women. It shows more to your lack of character and class then to Alpha Phi.

I'm all for alpha phi bc but yes I do think our Panhellenic for the most part is stupid, unorganized, and doesn't know what it's doing. it's a mess up there.

They are trying to put on a good recruitment! They aren't trying to outdo any of the houses! They are showing girls that just because they are a new sorority DOES NOT mean they won't get to do the things the established houses get to do. Posts like this are damaging to pnms. A lot of PNMs dropped or didn't get into a sorority during formal recruitment, so Alpha Phi is a great option to most girls.
This website makes greek life look so bad here. You shouldn't get to stay anonymous while BASHING A HOUSE THAT HASN'T EVEN STARTED YET! Give the girls who colonize a chance!
