Does it make a difference who you talk to during rounds? Like will talking to certain people in the house give you a clue if you will be invited back or not?

In my house the rush team and pres make their way around the room and talk to lots of girls.. The top girls we want, those we want to get to know better, actives' favorites, and random girls. We want everyone to feel welcome in our house so often it doesn't mean much. It looks bad if your president is only talking to the section of top girls
