you are not alone!! this is a really tough year with sororities trying to make cuts so that alpha phi has a pool of girls to pick from. this year is going to be brutal. please don't feel like you're alone! out of all of my friends only two got a full schedule of 8 houses and they're from honors college girls from Mississippi and ones a legacy to a top tier house. that is not the norm!! most girls faced huge cuts today! don't worry!!

This happened two years ago when adpi colonized. I personally knew three girls on my floor who were cut completely.
All three went adpi and all three had a great year! All three still love adpi.
Cuts were brutal yesterday. Hang in there, alpha phi will be a great option.

If you have any options left, chin up and do the best with what you can. Remember you only need one house to find your home!

If a house sees something special in you, trust them to know that you fit in and that you should be a part of their sisterhood. You will be happy wherever you end up.
I went through rush a couple of years ago when ADPi colonized. It was brutal. I was in the position you described and I was so upset I was crying. In retrospect, not the best reaction and feelings are feelings. I went with the house that saw something in me and gave me a chance and I can honestly say it was the best decision I have made. I love my sisterhood.
I'm praying you have a similar good experience even though you're having a hard time right now.

Although you may not know of all the undisclosed reasons for why they didn't get cut YET and you did.. it could have just simply been for them having more connections or a better rec letter/resume, and better grades (as you mentioned). Alpha Phi is a great way to go. If those girls really are reputation risks then they will not last much longer, trust me.

Yes, Gamma Chis will call you if you're dropped from all houses, but if you indicated that you would like to be told in person rather than over the phone, they will come to your room to let you know and allow you some time to vent.

I meant not the best reaction but feelings are feelings. Like, it's really not great to be crying over rush because you will end up where you are meant to, but my feelings at the time were valid and that was the only way I could express them.
