alpha phi

If you still want to try to go Greek, then yes you should try to become a colony member for Alpha Phi. It does not guarantee that they will select you, but if you don't try for it then you most likely won't go Greek at Ole Miss so it depends on what you want to do with your time here.
If it were me I would always want to go Greek so I would try for Alpha Phi if I were you and got cut from formal recruitment. If I didn't make it during formal recruitment or for the colony, I would work on all the factors I could work on (getting as close to a 4.0 as possible in academics; trying to take on extracurriculars and leadership positions; woking on my social skills by talking to and trying to connect with new people so that I could develop the skills to have better recruitment conversations; finding close that help me look the best that I can for my figure; FRIENDING and trying to get close with sorority women in the lower tier houses where I would actually have a chance and expressing interest in informal recruitment once we were good enough friends and I had hung out with them and their sisters enough times...this would give them a chance to invite me to any informal events in the spring). Then I would try to do spring informal if I were invited. If that didn't work out, I would work on all the factors I listed even more and do formal in the fall again. If that didn't work, I would consider finding a home elsewhere on campus (and the socializing and getting involved should have
