I don't think it will affect you first round invites back, (most of those cut lists have already been completed) but it does mean that you just lost out on meeting girls in those houses you missed.

Do you have choices? Can you go to a different play later in the semester?

No this play is required. A ton of girls are going to be missing other days of rush too. I know a few who have to go see the play on pref and some on bid day...

Then just go and don't worry about it. There's nothing you can do about this since it's an event that's required for class. You'll be fine. The first round cuts are mostly done already.

Props to the Theater department for having absolutely no respect for the greek community!

Why doesn't the Ole Miss administration & staff understand that the greek community has some of the highest gpa's on campus? Far higher than other groups! They hold more leadership positions and log in way more philanthropy hours than other campus groups.

This is just another dig at the greeks! It is so similar to other professors scheduling tests, quiz's, and papers next week as well! Don't they understand that Mid-terms are the following week, and it is not necessary to stress students out two weeks in a row!!!!!

Sororities already have their target lists completed. If you are on a sororities target list (you will have no idea...) then you will be fine. They want you. If you are not already on their target lists, then you could be in trouble! Some sororities rank pnm's instead of voting. In those chapters, if you miss a round, you will not be ranked.

Talk to your gamma Chi. I have no idea how they organize the schedules, but maybe your schedule can be manipulated or changed to accommodate the play. Like maybe all your rounds can be early so you can leave, or all your rounds late, so you can come after the plan..... I of course have no idea what time the play starts or ends, but hypothetically, it could work. PNM's sit around for hours waiting during gaps in their schedules.

I know many girls have already emailed Panhellenic about having the play at 7:30 Sunday night and yet they still have gaps all at the beginning of the day in their schedule

Well that's bad on Panhellenic that they're not trying to accomodate this as best as they can. I know it would be a headache but I still feel like they should since it's a required class event and everyone should have an equal chance if possible

This happened to me during my rush and it sucks to have to miss out on a chance to visit any house. I did fine but it gave me another reason to stress that week! Really wish rush could move back to before school starts-it's a stressful week for everybody!
