Middle and top sororities already know who they're cutting based on grades and reputation.

Our lists are done through skit. Then we make the hard decisions of who gets invited back for pref.

What if you meet someone during rounds who you didn't have on your list but you fall in love with?

"procedures" that are done for those girls who we meet during rush and love but who weren't on our radar before rush. If I meet you during a round and absolutely love you, I will take your name directly to the rush team. If rush team and our advisers approve, you stand a good chance at getting a bid or at least making it through to another round. If you don't have two rec letters, rush team will find you one.

We do have our lists made up but we know we will find girls during rush that we love and want to give bids to. If you don't have connections but do have a great resume and a great personality, there is always a chance you can go top tier.

That only works if you are lucky enough to be picked up by a girls who doesn't already have her hands full going to bat for girls she already knows.

From what I hear, these houses are already cutting girls:
DDD, XO, KD, DG, Phi Mu, KKG, AOPi, and Pi Phi.

I'd be surprised if pi phi and aopi have cut anyone except grade risks. And perhaps reputation risks and girls that they simply don't want.
They won't have to make any big decisions until after skit.

Then you will be surprised because they have

Don't hate on AOPI and Pi Phi. They're really good houses here with good girls.

I guess you must be an alumni, @surprised since you have this old thought that Pi Phi and AOPi aren't picky. Have you seen their rushes last year? Lots of girls got cut by them for more than being a grade risk.

Most houses, top and bottom have their targets lists. These are usually between 300 to 500 girls depending on the sorority. The target lists consist of girls with connections (whether active or alumni,) and maybe a few girls who's resumes really, and I mean really, stood out. The target lists are all the girls we want to bid, or we are interested in. Without connections, the average girls will end up on a secondary list. Some houses have multiple secondary lists at this stage. Those lists are usually already ordered according to how you have ranked on paper.

Gpa is a large factor, so is leadership, philanthropy, and extra curriculars or talents. Private schools and top public schools are also considered when looking at the overall girl.

I didn't realize it was so organized already. Thank you so much for sharing this info, this puts a lot of the process into perspective!

I have friends in all houses, top, middle and bottom. There are already cuts made in each house for both grade and reputation risks. If youre not a grade risk however you wont be dropped after greekday, I almost guarantee it

You can't guarantee anything. There are reputation risks that we all know about!

Girls may not be cut completely, but even amazing girls will experience cuts one way or another.
