grades for pnms

PNMs: if you have below a 3.0, you are a grade risk and will likely be cut. There are so many girls going through rush this year and it's impossible for us to get to know each and every one of you, especially those from out of state who have no connections. The best way for us to weed through nearly 2,000 girls is by cutting the grade risks first. Then we can begin to get to know who is left and focus on them. It sucks but it's reality. The only exceptions are house favorites and legacies.
My advice: don't get your hopes up if your gpa is less than a 3.0... And if you have less than a 2.8... You might as well withdrawal and try for Alpha phi.

There is an article on the ole miss website that talks about 2015 enrollment. It says that the average GPA for incoming freshman this year is 3.54! The AVERAGE girl going through recruitment will have a 3.54!!!
It is common for sororities to order lists according to gpa!
Where will you fall?
Honestly a 3.0 might be too low for many of the sororities. The green/yellow/red chart is old and outdated!

I don't know why there are thumbs down on this post and the one above me.
This is all true. Honestly my sorority already disregarded everyone under a 2.9, anyone who has a 2.9 and still on our radar is an in house legacy and she might not even make it to Skit round because of necessary cuts.
There are 1,800 plus girls who are going through rush. After Greek day we have to cut a certain number of girls. The PNMs are on a list at every house by legacy status and GPA. The ones to go first are the ones with the lowest GPAs. Depending on how many Panhellenic wants us to cut, that could mean that everyone below a 2.9 could be cut or everyone below a 3.0 is cut.
