How highly do fraternities consider high school GPA when deciding who to give bids to?

Some if not all care. KA and EN look at gpa and act/sat scores. Both of these fraternities have chapter GPA'S above 3.0
Delta Psi is an academic fraternity and requires high gpa for membership.

I am coming in as a Freshman in Jan. ; will I be able to go to pledge or will I have to wait until next fall ? If I can't pledge can I go to parties if I'm invited?
